Berlin, January 2007 – Whether cycling through Vietnam, undergoing an Ayurveda treatment in Sri Lanka or following in the footsteps of the Khmer kings in Cambodia: With the first issue of go asia magazine, the marketing initiative of the same name aims to promote one of the most fascinating regions of the world: Asia.
“This part of the world is lively, ever-changing, full of colours, scents and unfamiliar noises,“ says Frank Grafenstein, spokesperson for go asia. On 36 pages, the special beauty and secrets of some of these countries have been captured in words and pictures. We hope that this will ignite the spirit of discovery among our readers,” Grafenstein continues.
In the glossy brochure, experienced travel writers and Asia experts talk about wellness and culture and introduce cosmopolitan cities such as Shanghai. Reports on special-interest tours, such as cycling holidays or river cruises are included to further whet the reader’s appetite for Asia. The first issue of go asia not only lists the best hotels of the continent, but also the main tour operators specialising in the region. A detailed factsheet on the best countries to visit in Asia provides background information.
30,000 copies of the first issue of the magazine have been printed, the majority of which will be given out as a supplement of the magazine “Reise & Preise”. The remaining copies will be distributed at major trade fairs. You can also order them via the homepage: .

Grafenstein Freizeit- und Tourismuswerbung:
E-Learning is gaining in importance for the tourism sector: more and more travel agents choose this modern type of training to learn (more) about destinations and products because, in contrast to organized trainings, they can fix time and hour (length) independently. After the great success of the Malta E-Learning which has been nominated for the European E-Learning-Award EureLea in February this year, a new E-Learning project is in preparation: the goasia training platform, a joint project from goasia and PATA (German Chapter). On this platfrom, Asian destinations and service suppliers like (such as) airlines and tour operators can present their offers. Since travel agents are the ones who sell the offers and come in close contact with the consumers, they represent the most important target group for tourist boards and service suppliers. Their knowledge about the different destinations and products is determining (vital) for the quality increase (increased quality) of consulting services in travel agencies. If you need more information about the platform, please contact Frank Grafenstein (fg@grafenstein.net) or Oliver Engelhardt (oe@terratrends.de)
